Frequently Asked Question (FAQs)

  • How long does poly foam concrete levelling take?

Our professionals use the right equipment, time, and expertise to get the job done right. We can complete any concrete lifting and levelling job within 2 to 3 hours for the average residential concrete concerns. Our services include commercial jobs like sidewalk repair, floor levelling, and basement finishing, dependent on the amount of work to be done.

  • Does weather influence when concrete can be raised?

Concrete is sensitive to changes in temperature and moisture. The optimal temperature for concrete filling and compaction is +15 degrees Celsius. Concrete lifting will happen when there are any cracks in the slab, caused by shrinkage from drying or by thermal expansion from heating. However, we will only not continue with the work if there is frost on the ground. Interior concrete is not affected by weather conditions, and we work on concrete all year round.

  • Do you use heavy machinery on site?

Our equipment is designed to minimize the need for on-site heavy machinery. We can do the job without disturbing your property. All you have to do is provide us with access to water and electricity.

  • How long until the area is functional again?

Once the poly-foam levelling process is completed, it is important to allow at least 24 hours for the foam to set. This will provide your concrete with a strong base that can withstand heavy loads without deformation. However, the majority of the time you can use it immediately after, 24 hours is just a precaution.

  • What happens to the injection sites or the holes?

Injection site holes are patched with cement concrete mix. The concrete patching is an inexpensive way to repair the hole and it's done quickly, usually immediately after the lifting process is complete.

  • Does the property owner need to be present for an estimate?

Your safety is our primary concern. If you are not home when the technician arrives, they will not be able to access your property. However, we have gotten written permission to access exterior areas to provide clients with quotes in the past.

  • Will the existing cracks go away?

Cracks in concrete will usually close up when the concrete is properly levelled. This is because the cracked and uneven surface causes a lot of stress on the concrete and, when it is leveled out, this tension is relieved and the cracks will often close up

  • Is a Building Permit required?

No, you don't need a building permit to level your sunken concrete because it's not considered construction, nor does it affect the structure of the home.

  • Can you use this product to level asphalt or paving stones?

A concrete base is the only way to get a successful lift of your asphalt or paving stones.

  • Does the property owner need to be present for the work to be completed?

For exterior concrete lifting and levelling, it is typically not necessary that you are present. We do ask that an adult is required to be present for any interior concrete work.

  • How do we schedule the concrete work?

We will contact you to schedule the concrete lifting work after we have received your acceptance of the estimate.
